Festive Fundraising
3 November 2020
Unwanted Gifts – you know those old gifts that you have in the back of your cupboard? Have a clear-out and try selling them! One person’s trash is another person’s treasure!
New Year, New You – get 2021 off to a great start by giving yourself a challenge to work towards - getting involved in the 2.6 Challenge or taking on an Ultra Challenge for SCF are great places to start! Whether you choose a marathon, a hike or giving up a vice for a month, get sponsored for your goal and kick the year off with a feel-good start.
Secret Santa – getting involved in a Secret Santa with friends, family or colleagues? Instead of a £5 limit, set it at £4 for people to spend on each other, with the spare £1 being donated to SCF!
Get Quizzy With It – as a second lockdown looms, now is a great time to resurrect the Zoom quizzes. Get a group of family and friends together and host a quiz! Get everyone to make a donation for the hard work you’ve put in organising it!
Get Creative – get your creative juices flowing and make some festive crafts! People love handmade and personalised things, and people are always on the hunt for unique Christmas presents. Christmas is also a time of giving and donating the profits to charity is another incentive to get people purchasing your makes!
Tie-dye – hop on the tie-dye trend and take orders from people to turn their old, lacklustre clothes into tie-dye masterpieces! This is really fun and easy to do, and people get something in return for their donation.
Personal Shopper – Christmas shopping is a notoriously stressful task. Offer your services as a personal shopper in return for a donation to SCF!
Donations in lieu – if you can’t bear receiving another pair of socks this Christmas then ask your friends and family to donate to SCF what they would of spent on your gift.
Get Snapping – keen photographer? Offer people a personalised photoshoot for a donation to SCF! This way you can raise money while also building up your own portfolio.
Mince Pie Delivery – bake or buy some mince pies and sell boxes of them to friends, family and neighbours – then donate your profits to SCF! Telling people you’re doing it for charity might even earn you a few more donations!
Offer Your Help – help people in your local community for a donation to SCF! You could wash cars, walk pets or go to the shops for them – anything you can think of!
Sweepstakes – quick, simple and easy! Whether you’re guessing the winner of The Great British Bake Off or who will be top of the charts over Christmas, it’s a chance for people to win money while also raising funds for SCF!
