Youth Representatives
The Youth Representative network is an initiative set up for our younger members. A team of young people is available to give additional support to members through face-to-face meetings, e-mails, telephone, text and Facebook. Youth Reps are aged between 18 and 25 years old and they provide peer to peer support for our young members.
If you would like to be put in contact with your local secretary please become a member. For members who would like to be put in contact with their Youth Representative, please contact the office.

Stacey Vernon was the first Youth Representative to help us support young people with scoliosis. Stacey says: "I can remember when I was diagnosed with scoliosis how isolated and different I felt from my peers. However, when I became a member of SAUK I soon realised I was not alone during my struggles and found a lot of comfort in reading other members' stories detailing their experiences. This is what encouraged me to become a Youth Representative, as I am now able to offer the same support to others on a one-to-one basis. The more Youth Reps SAUK
have the more individuals we have to share
experiences as we are all unique and should be
proud to be so."
If you are interested in joining the team, please send an e-mail to: communications@sauk.org.uk.
