Old methods of straightening the spine

Brace from 1788

An ancient method of straightening scoliosis (1788)

Localiser plaster jacket

Localiser plaster designed to elongate the spine while decreasing the curve by lateral pressure.

Plaster jacket with turnbuckles. The turnbuckles were turned a little each day to stretch the spine.
