Carol Richards

Carol became a SAUK Trustee in 1997. Carol’s daughter Hannah was born with Beals Syndrome, a connective tissue disorder.  Its main features are contractures at birth and fast onset of scoliosis.  She feels her role within SAUK is to be the voice of the ‘mother’ and to raise awareness of scoliosis as much as she can.  As a Trustee she has organised family weekends and with many of her friends, and built a garden at the Hampton Court Flower Show to promote SAUK.  Carol also has an active role in approving the new Regional Secretaries and Youth Representatives who join
the network.
