SAUK Cambridge meeting 22 June 2002

The regional meeting at Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge was a very enjoyable and successful event. The talks were given by Mr David Conlan, FRCS, on "Current Trends in Scoliosis - What's New, What's True, What's Cool", and Sarah Charlton, MCSP SRP BSc, on "A Holistic Approach to the Management of Children with Scoliosis - Counselling, Moral Support, Pre-operative Preparation and Post-operative Care" were excellent and it was good to hear that there is much information available to patients at Addenbrooke's. It was also a good opportunity for members in the south-east to hear Mr Andrew Mills, MBAPO, Orthotist, talk on "SpineCor Bracing". This talk was given at the Sheffield meeting  in 2001 (See Backbone No. 66, pp16-17 May 2002), and aroused much interest.
