Birmingham meeting 16 June 2001SAUK's Birmingham meeting was a most successful and enjoyable event. It was attended by 70 SAUK members and SAUK staff Lesley-Ann, Pauline and Libby, with wonderful support from Libby's sister Brenda. The talks given by Mr Alistair Thompson, FRCS, on Saving the Back, Mr David Marks, FRCS, on The Development of Early Onset Scoliosis, and Helen Franks, SRP, on Physiotherapy Following Scoliosis Surgery were excellent and well received. We all greatly appreciate the generous amount of time Mr Thompson and Mr Marks spent listening to and answering members' questions. Lunch was delicious! The e-mails received from members said they found the day really informative, encouraging and most worthwhile, and thanked all those involved in making it a success. |
