Hydrotherapy
A popular physical therapy of complementary health, hydrotherapy is essentially about undertaking controlled exercises while immersed in water, hot or cold, dependent on the ailment. The aim is to stimulate the production of endorphins in the body - anti-stress hormones that help to relieve pain and tension. Because water supports between 50% and 90% of body weight during hydrotherapy exercise, as well as providing resistance to movement, it's particularly helpful if an individual has joint, muscular or bone problems.
